Rosh Hashanah

Posted in: Uncategorized

On erev Rosh Hashanah the entire Pinsk staff traveled the journey to Stolin, the city where 12,000 of our brothers and sisters were so brutally murdered on that very day 75 years back, including two of the Stoline Rebbes.
We recited slichos at the synagogue which once housed so many of the greats. We then led out to the mass grave, which is one of the largest in recorded history. We said tehillim and danced, to prove that the fire of yiddishkeit will never be extinguished which is so easily proved by the growing Jewish movement in Pinsk and around Belarus…
For Rosh Hashanah we were joined by a special guest, Rabbi Yoichy Berman joins us every Rosh Hashanah. For some of these kids it’s their first Jewish holiday they’ve experienced in their life! Rosh Hashanah afternoon the whole community left to do Tashlich by the River where so many gedolim have done Tashlich in the past. They sang and danced with such great Simcha that they are pure, without aveiros! Yad Yisroel davens for a year full of koach to be able to continue our avodas kodesh!
